We collect personal information that you choose to provide voluntarily when using our website, and websites that are linked to this site. You can use our site without creating an account, but you must create an account (become an Adventurix Member) if you want to take advantage of certain features including but not limited to, making a purchase, inquiring about a product or service, submit a tip or suggestion, read our travel guides or sign up for one of our email lists, newsletters, or other services.
We may also ask for personal information when you contact our Customer Service department, or any agent, or third party contractor that we have in place to collect this data on our behalf. It is customary for us, and our contractors, agents, or sub-agents to protect your confidentiality by verifying your identity. There is certain information that any User may opt out of, and appropriately, the information fields designated to request/collect such information are optional.
If you are making a reservation for one or more travelers other than yourself, you will need to make sure that each of these other travelers agrees, in advance, that you may disclose their personal information to us. For your convenience, we make certain information about your reservation available to you or other persons authorized by you to receive such information.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any person, business, or group that refuses to provide certain contact information that we, and our Partnered Destinations need in order to effectively qualify serious inquiries, sell and market our goods and services, and protect all of the parties with whom we do business from spam, solicitation, and fraud.
We collect personal information including but not limited to: your name and/or the name of your company, dates of birth, preferred communication methods, business name, title and business address, credit card details, including the three-digit code that appears on the back of your credit card, as well as details on the sporting travel, and other vacation, transportation, and tour packages you may desire to book. We may also record details on group travelers.
How We Collect Personal Information
Information is collected on The Site in two ways: information submitted by you and information gathered by cookies. Users of The Site submit information for a variety of reasons, such as to express opinions, offer tips, make purchases, request information, participate in on-line forums, order products, respond to polls, request newsletters and enter contests. Some of our promotional offers have an "Email this page to a friend", or contain similar type language, or employ s similar type feature that allows a user to forward information from The Site, or a website that is linked to The Site. How We Use the Personal Information
that You Submit to Adventurix and our Providers
To the extent required by law, we may disclose personally identifiable information to government authorities, or to third parties pursuant to a subpoena or other legal process, and we may also use or disclose your information as permitted by law to protect the rights or property of Adventurix, our customers, members, Providers, The Site, or its Users.
Adventurix uses personally identifiable information to generate bona fide sales leads for our Providers and fulfill requests for their, and our, services. Without exception, Adventurix and our Providers require that you to provide a certain personal information (the nature and quantity of such information shall be will be determined by Adventurix, and our Providers) when you establish contact with us, in order to qualify serious inquiries. Upon registration with Adventurix, you will receive email updates, invitations, announcements, and/or receive other information, including mail, from Adventurix. At any time, you can request that we remove your name from our mailing list, and we will promptly make every effort to remove your email address from our distribution list.
Adventurix does not sell any customer information or share your email address with third parties except in compliance with this policy. However, we may disclose customer information to companies affiliated, or doing business with with Adventurix, and/or unaffiliated third parties to fulfill the products and services you have requested. We may also disclose this information to third parties, such as groups or employers who have arranged for discounts, or purchased travel or other services on your behalf. Adventurix Membership
If you choose to become a registered member of Adventurix, you must provide your name, mailing address and/or email address, telephone number, and other information. The nature and depth of information that is required for Adventurix membership, or any premium level of Adventurix membership is left solely at the discretion of Adventurix, and is subject to change, without notice, at any time. Information is collected during the registration process for a number of reasons, but principally for qualifying serious inquiries for our Providers. The information we obtain is used for, but not limited to, the following purposes: personal identification, to complete reservations for sporting travel, tours, or excursions, to provide a way for us contact you for customer service purposes, if it becomes necessary, and to make improvements and/or modifications to our site.
Conducting Surveys
Adventurix is continually redoubling our efforts to find better, and more efficient ways of serving our customers, so we occasionally conduct online surveys. Your participation in a Member Survey is entirely optional. If you do choose to participate in a survey, the information is aggregated and summarized in order to make improvements to The Site, and to develop appealing content, options, forums, tips, features, as well as to offer the type of promotions our members desire most.
Sweepstakes and Promotions
Adventurix occasionally sponsors sweepstakes and promotions in order to give our members the opportunity to win great travel and travel related prizes, and prize packages, such as all-inclusive trips, and trips that are deeply discounted, and/or include incidentals that are normally not included in the standard price. Information collected by us for such activities can include contact information and survey questions. We use contact information to notify members of their winnings.
How You Can Opt Out of Marketing Communications
and Remove Yourself from our Mailing List
If you do not ever want Adventurix to use or share your personal information for the purpose of sending you marketing or promotional materials, including but not limited to offers and specials offered by Adventurix please opt-out by not using, or providing us with any personal information on The Site.
