Uruguay is a small country but with big hunting and fishing opportunities. Adventurix is prepared to be the resource and reference for your trip to Uruguay or any South American country.

Uruguay was once a province of Argentina and is located just due east of Argentina. Brazil borders Uruguay on the northeast edge of the country and the Atlantic Ocean makes up the wonderful and expansive beach areas of Uruguay.

The capital of Uruguay and city that contains the international airport is Montevideo, Uruguay. The airport, MVD, is where most of the Adventurix hunting and fishing in Uruguay starts and departs. Currently, American Airlines is the only carrier that has a direct flight to Montevideo from Miami, Florida. It departs out of Miami 3 days per week at 11:10 PM. Adventurix is here to assist with flights to and from Uruguay and sometimes it makes more sense to arrive and depart out of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Montevideo is the main city of Uruguay with just over 2 million people. The "Rambla" is the shoreline in Montevideo where many of the restaurants are located serving traditional barbecues, premium beef, and fresh seafood. The wines of Uruguay are not to be missed. The people of Uruguay are very nice and very accommodating to tourists and guests touring Uruguay. Enjoy city that does not move at a fast pace and allows tourists to really relax and enjoy the South American pace.

Just north of Montevideo is the western part of Uruguay that is famous for the fertile lands and acre after acre of sunflower, corn, and sorghum fields. The western part of Uruguay is the location for some of the best dove hunting in Uruguay and Adventurix has several destinations and lodges that focus on the Uruguay wingshooting.

South of Montevideo is a famous beach resort, Punta del Este. Known as the "pearl of Uruguay, this white sand beach resort town is busy during the Uruguay summer months of December, January, and February. Many exclusive European, South American and North American resorts and hotels have a location in Punta del Este. Adventurix could not depart Punta del Este without checking out the hunting resorts and quality of hunting. Adventurix does have some hunting destinations near Punta del Este for Uruguay wingshooting.

North of Montevideo is the historic town of Colonia. A small, pedestrian friendly, cobble stone street and several shops makes the town of Colonia a "not to be missed" town when traveling to Uruguay. While the town of Colonia can be seen and enjoyed in a day, the hunting near by is also not to be missed. Uruguay dove hunting and Perdiz hunting is a winning combination outside Colonia, Uruguay and Adventurix has several accommodations and hunting packages with the Uruguay wingshooting focus. Colonia is just 2 hours from Montevideo and only 50 minutes from Buenos Aires by the hydrofoil, a luxury yacht like boat that travels between Colonia and Buenos Aries several times a day.
