All hunting at Estancia Ameghino is conducted out of dry blinds that were custom made for Rob's shooters.  They feature cup holders, shell holders, and other creature comforts common only to North American duck blinds.  Although Rob does not use dogs, they are not necessarily needed because all shooting is conducted from postage stamp-sized ponds where the water is shallow, allowing bird pick up boys to easily retrieve downed birds.

Ameghino, like most duck hunting lodges in Argentina, offer hunters very generous limits, and most shooters can expect to shoot up to six boxes of shells per day.  Even though this is the case, Rob finds that most of his guests practice conservation, which he is a big proponent of.

Hunting Rosybilled Pochards at Estancia Ameghino is full-on, fast and furious duck hunting action-as good as it gets anywhere in the world.  No other duck decoys quite like a Rosy.  The charge decoys with out hesitation or caution, and when they drop down from above, they set their wings, and drop in like a freight elevator with the cable cut.  The Rosie enjoys the same fame as the North American Mallard, and is probably the most sporting duck to hunt in South America.

Estancia Ameghino is a big stately mansion with 5 bedrooms, all with individual bathrooms, parquet floors, and leaded windows that offer a spectacular view of the grounds. The great room has a large fireplace, and a well stocked bar.  Rob's chef and wait staff are very professional and attentive, and the food is delicious.  Overall, Ameghino offers some of the finest lodging and accommodations found anywhere amongst the crowded field of Argentina hunting outfitters.
