Blue Sky is located in McLennan, Alberta, the "Bird Capital of Canada". Flyways near Kimiwan Lake and the surrounding areas create a high volume and varied waterfowl population. Ducks include Mallards, Pintails, and Widgeons. Our waterfowl hunts give the duck hunter quite a mixed bag as we have over 200 species of waterfowl in the area.

The duck hunts begin early. We rise at 4 AM to view the northern lights and a light meal before heading to the fields and blinds. Ducks and geese fill the sky of Alberta. You can expect Mallards, Widgeons and Pintails along with a vast variety of geese. Our blinds are some of the most comfortable in the industry and we usually reach our limits by 10:30 AM.

Duck hunters will head back to the lodge for a home cooked meal and rest and relaxtion period before heading back out for some awesome field shooting of ducks and geese. We also include our hunters in the preparation of the next morning's hunt.

Our dinners are good time to experience the Canadian culture and food. This is a good time to relax and enjoy the succesful day's hunt and to get ready for the next day's duck hunt.
