Los Gauchos is proud to announce our entry into the high volume dove hunting market in Western Uruguay.

The season is year-round and because the birds do not migrate, the volume is high. Depending on the time of year, you also have the option of shooting Perdiz.

Estancia La Paz is a first class site and a great place for the entire family.

Not only high volume doves, but decoying Pigeons and Perdiz can all be done at Los Gauchos Estancia La Paz in Uruguay.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the land package price is required to reserve your specified dates at the Uruguay Estancia La Paz.



Getting there

Adventurix Advantage Members can have us book your flights to Argentina from the USA. We can book you directly into the Montevideo Airport (MVD), or create a custom itinerary to compliment your dove hunting in Uruguay.

American Airlines now offers direct flight into Montevideo, Uruguay (MVD) out of Miami, Florida. Fly to Montevideo, Uruguay (MVD) or Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE). The drive from the international airport is about 3.5 hours. Our staff meets you at the airport for the transfer.

High-volume doves, decoyed Pigeons and Perdiz (May-July) are available at this location. Hunts are typically 3 days or 4 days and flights arrive at the Montevideo airport (MVD).

The season is year-round for the high volume doves and decoyed Pigeons.

When planning, remember that the seasons in Uruguay are opposite of those in the United States; December thru March is their summer. The doves do not migrate; thus, the volume (HIGH!) is available year-round.

Our pigeon shoots are fast and furious. It is comparable to duck hunting in a cut corn field. Two hunters per blind for the decoying pigeon action. Perdiz hunting in this area is one of the best in Uruguay.

You have the option of Perdiz hunting May – July. We have trained setters and a guide who will accompany your Perdiz shoot. The limit of Perdiz is 12 per day.

Estancia La Paz is a first class estancia that can host up to 15 hunters.

The estancia grounds are incredible including tennis courts, horseback riding, living room with wood burning fireplace and gourmet meals.

Dinners will be unforgettable: premium beef and seafood, exceptional Uruguayan and regional wines and hunting tales to share. Rooms are double occupancy; however single occupancy is available if requested in advance. ($150/night for single occupancy)

Non-hunters are welcome as the grounds and outdoor activities can be arranged for the non-hunter (please inquire for costs/availability).
