Dial Dunkin - Rancho Marioposa
Geographical Location: Shooters reach Rancho Mariposa by flying to Harlingen or McAllen, Texas, where they will be met and transported to the resort. Alternately they may fly via Houston to Tampico, Mexico, where they will be met.

Dial Dunkin is now introducing Mexico whitewing dove hunting out of his current base of operations, Rancho Mariposa, where he offers a multitude of other sporting venues from great Mexico duck hunting, to bass fishing.  If you desire to experience some of the best Mexico dove hunting the country has to offer, you should plan to come to Rancho Mariposa anytime between mid August and mid October.

Rancho Mariposa is best known for offering clean and comfortable accommodations, high volume dove shooting, and excellent service, for very affordable prices.  Dove hunting in Mexico is nothing new for Dial Dunkin.  He owned and operated Alta Vista for over 20 years, and it was one of the first, and largest, dove hunting lodges in Mexico ever operated by an American.

After a long hiatus into the banking business, Dial has chosen to spend his "retirement" by again offering professionally guided hunting trips in Mexico-so he is back in operation, and in a big way.  Hunters coming to Rancho Mariposa can expect to spend their days of dove shooting under the shade of mesquite trees, or by standing in waist-high copper-headed sorghum-wherever the birds are!  Wave after wave of Mexico whitewings will sweep in front of your barrel until reducing them to little puffs of white and gray feathers floating against a turquoise Mexican sky as you squeeze off shot after shot.

Rio Grande >Rio Grande Lodge
Geographical Location: Coahuila, Mexico. Just two miles across the border from Laredo, Texas. Those planning a Mexico dove hunting trip to this
lodge should plan to fly into Laredo International Airport (commercial), or Eagle Pass (if by charter). The drive to the ranch takes less than thirty minutes.

It is hard to find any international wingshooter who has not made a bird hunting trip to Mexico at some point in time, and odds are, anyone who has ever been hunting in Mexico has been dove hunting in Mexico. Why? Because the volume of birds is phenomenal, and the shooting is not restricted by the tight limits imposed by the USA when hunting doves in Texas on the other side of the river.

This is great news for wingshooters who enjoy high volume dove shooting, and also like to hunt both mourning, and whitewing doves. Both species of these birds are abundant in Northern Mexico and White wing dove hunting in Mexico is quickly becoming a specialty of Rio Grande, with the company hosting more and more dove hunting trips to Mexico every year.

In addition to the very high concentrations of resident birds, hundreds of thousands of migratory doves make their way onto the property every season. The dove hunting season in Mexico begins in August and ends in February—making Mexico dove shooting a much longer lasting proposition that what is available to those dove hunting in Texas on the other side of the border.

Even better, combination packages can be created that include Mexico duck hunting, and great Mexico quail hunting. These combinations produce great mixed bag shooting opportunities and offer a refreshing alternative to those who desire a break from the continuous shoulder pounding associated with high volume dove hunting in Mexico.

Adventurix operators are standing by to connect your call directly to Rio Grande's direct sales office, so give us a call now, we are ready to help you plan your next wingshooting trip to Mexico for doves, quail, ducks, or whatever your quarry may be.
